The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring the city. It was within walking distance of all the main attractions such as the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum, and Sisowath Quay. Another great aspect was the friendly and helpful staff who were always ready to assist with any queries or recommendations. the rooftop bar provided a nice atmosphere to relax and enjoy a drink while taking in the views of the city.

There were a few downsides to the hotel. the cleanliness of the shared bathroom was not up to scratch, despite regular cleaning.

I had the best $5 hostel experience at Aura Thematic. The beds were clean and comfy, and the hostel itself was well lit and not creepy like others I've stayed in before. The rooms may be small, but having 2 showers and 2 bathrooms for 4 people was a great convenience. The staff was professional and helpful, and there was even an upstairs community room with a TV and comfy chairs. Plus, the rooftop bar/restaurant was a fantastic amenity. The location was ideal, close to the riverfront, markets, royal palace. If you're looking for some delicious tacos, check out Cocina Cartel down the street. I highly recommend this hostel for its affordability, cleanliness, and helpful staff.
